McGee arraignment postponed again
Monday’s arraignment of a 38-year-old Boston man charged with assaulting a teenage boy in the steam room of the Gasparilla Inn has been postponed again.
Carl Stanley McGee, a top aide to Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, is facing sexual battery charges in connection with the December 28 incident at the Inn. He remains free on $300,000 bond and has been suspended from his post in the Patrick administration.
Prosecutors requested the delay because they are still working with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to finalize charges. Arraignment has been rescheduled for March 24.
